A Dysfunctional Family of Five Reviews...Along Came Polly!

A romantic comedy starring a much less worn-out version of 'Bennifer' than the J. Lo. and B. Af. variety, and scene-stealing co-stars aplenty.

Dad: Someday, Ben Stiller will do a "Pig Latin Lover" movie, and then I'll respect him again.

Mom: Someday, my husband will stop sneaking money out of my wallet to buy "The Courtship of Eddie's Father" memorabilia, and then I'll respect him again.

Sis: Someday, my mother will destroy the video of me laughing so hard that I peed all over myself at my tenth birthday party, instead of showing it to every last idiot that wanders by the house, and then I'll respect her again.

Bro: Someday, I'll make all women walk around with their nipples stuck out like Jennifer Aniston's, but I'll never respect them.

Baby: For a love story about getting out of your comfort zone, Stiller and Aniston stay dead center in their acting comfort zones, which is a shame. I'd guess that a bunch of movie execs sat down with The Big Movie Mad Libs Book, checked some people's schedules, let Stiller punch it up a bit on the sly, and here you go - a predictable commodity that ought to make its money back.

Verdict: A tolerable date movie; better off as a rental.
