Nation's Children in Danger of Imitating "Passion of the Christ" Violence

The shocking pattern of kids imitating violence they see in TV and movies is all too real, according to concerned parent June French. Ms. French explained the situation to our correspondent:
"Last week I come from the store and what do I see but Eric, my fourteen-year-old, trying to nail his little brother to the wall! When I asked them what the Jiminy Christmas they thought they were doing, Eric told me they saw it in the movies and thought it would be cool to try. Eric kept saying 'I'm a Roman!' and Billy, that's my ten-year-old, he kept running around with his arms out, yelling 'Look, Mommy, I'm The Christ!'
"Well, the first thing I did was call all the other mothers in the neighborhood. Apparently this 'The Christ' is a character in a new movie, and all the kids think he's the coolest. Then I did some research at the library and I was really shocked: it seems millions of people have been killed throughout history because of this 'The Christ,' but Hollywood is still allowed to make a movie glorifying him!
"We knew what we had to do: the other mothers and I formed an action group. We started writing letters to those big-shot Hollywood executives, to tell them they can't make a movie about a character who's been the cause of such horrific violence and expect decent God-fearing folks to stand for it. And then, we're going to organize a series of protests to get them to ban this horrible movie before it harms any more children.
"But real education has to start at home. So I sat Eric and Billy down and explained to them that movies are just stories - and if you try to live your life based on made-up stories, you're bound to end up in trouble. And if they have to look up to a hero from the movies, why not the Terminator, or that nice Rambo? He's only killed a few hundred people - it's pretty tame stuff by comparison."
