They made it through the rain, and found themselves respected by the others who got rained on too, and made it through!

And Jesus, we feel like we were set up! They kept Stephen Colbert off the convention floor until this, the last episode of The Daily Show's Democratic National Convention coverage. They were holding out on us! Colbert stole the show from Jon Stewart tonight, and Kerry's damn lucky that Colbert wasn't anywhere near him.

It's even more impressive because Stewart had his best show of the week tonight. Witness him skewer Senator Joe Biden and CNN talking head Wolf Blitzer - both of whom were recent Daily Show guests! Stewart has no fear. Let us repeat:

JON STEWART HAS NO FEAR.

But now that it's over, we must go back to our pathetic little lives, scuttling by with our tasteless meals and colorless skies and - hey, wait! The Daily Show is back on Monday! And they rerun it at least three times a day! Whew! That was a close call.
