A Dysfunctional Family of Five Reviews...Everything Is Everything!
The ambitious folks (and fellow purveyors of satire) over at Studio 8 Entertainment have released their first DVD, a mockumentary about three young men from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, each with an unusual delusion of grandeur. We caught the Dysfunctional Family of Five at home, staged a special screening, and asked about their favorite bits.
 Dad: Gotta be the shopping cart scene. Physical comedy and more stupid non sequiturs than I could shake an 18-inch Stonehenge model at. That was comic gold right there.
 Mom: Every time Dale the songster showed up onscreen. I haven't snort-laughed that much since I saw the ambush video of my husband singing The Pirates of Penzance while cleaning the house in too-tight shorts.
 Sis: I didn't get why those skanky girls kept letting Russell swipe their money. Don't they have any self-res - [fumbling through purse] HEY! I'm missing a credit card AGAIN! Where's my phone?! Oooo, I've HAD IT with that lowlife Roach Kirkson...
 Bro: Anything with Justin Justice - he RULES! Especially the CSI: Laundromat scene. It burns nice and slow, just like ants under a magnifying glass. BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA!
 Baby: It's funnier than A Mighty Wind, less political than Fahrenheit 9/11, and has better acting than Catwoman. Who could ask for more? I laughed until I filled my diaper. Then there was hell to pay.
 Verdict: If Christopher Guest and Johnny Knoxville had some illegitimate stepchildren, this is the movie they would make. Go to First Look Rentals to rent or buy.
