Search for Franz Ferdinand Yields Disappointing Results
Local teen Theresa Gray was disappointed this week over search results for Franz Ferdinand.
"I was looking for the band Franz Ferdinand, and all I got was this stuff about some old Archduke or something. They didn't even have a color picture of him."
The dismayed girl went on to add that instead of lyrics to "The Dark of the Matinee," or "Take Me Out," there was a map of Austria and a family tree of the Hapsburgs.
Gray's further research proved that there is no band called The Hapsburgs.
Franz Ferdinand's front-man Alex Kapranos was amused when informed of Theresa's plight. "We love our fans, but we also hope that they discover more about the man who led to the outbreak of World War One. He was a very complex man, at once miserly and bigoted, but kind and loving to his wife, Sophia. Young Theresa can learn a lot by reading about Archduke Ferdinand."
Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria could not be reached for comment.
