A Dysfunctional Family of Five Reviews...The Jacket!

Slap on your Disbelief Suspenders when you see Adrien Brody's character drugged up and stuffed inside a morgue drawer less than a half hour into the movie as a psycho ward "treatment." As a result, he time travels to meet a surly Keira Knightley, who puts out! On second thought, how do we sign up for this?

Sis: Adrien Brody reminds me of the guy who picked us up when we broke down outside of Disney World. He looked like he was from the future...

Mom: Honey, just because he was wearing a double-breasted suit made of tin foil, with matching shoes, hat and ascot, that doesn't mean he was from the future. He wasn't even from Back to the Future.Space Mountain? Maybe, but not the ride.

Bro: If he wasn't from the future, how'd he know we'd all jump outta his van before it actually happened, even though it was going at least forty? That was even creepier than what he had stored behind the third row bench seat.

Dad: I've conveniently developed retrograde amnesia about the whole incident, and I'll be perfectly happy if no one ever tries to show me how his appendix AND nipples aren't, in fact, vestigial organs.

Baby: For my money, Jacob's Ladder is the movie to beat in this film genre. Head-to-head, Ladder trumps this one, but it's the best shot anyone's taken since Vanilla Sky. And that's nothing to shake a rattle at.

Verdict: Rental for all the head-trippers in the house. Upgrade to matinee if you've got a crush on Brody or Knightley.
