A Dysfunctional Family of Five Reviews...Tim Burton's Corpse Bride!

Tim Burton this, Tim Burton that, Tim Burton the other. Guess what, Tim? It's not all about you, dude. Just because Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter only do voices in this, that doesn't mean you get to hog all the credit. Yeah, we said it!

Sis: I wish that I could wish all movies to be as cool as this one. But then I'd probably get bored out of my skin with that, just like every other day of my life.

Mom: I wish I could see Walt Disney's face right now, knowing that Tim Burton's using his brand naming trick on these movies. Actually, I wish I could've seen Disney's frozen head in this movie.

Bro: That's what I forgot!!! [Raced out of the theater, hopped on his bike and pedaled furiously home. There, he rushed into the kitchen and removed from the broiling oven a coat hanger twisted to resemble a misshapen human head.]

Dad: It's macabre and tender at the same time. Just like watching Geraldo Rivera rescue hurricane-stranded babies.

Baby: It's good, but you know why it's not great? Henry Selick. He's the guy that directed Nightmare Before Christmas and James and the Giant Peach, and he'd've been perfect for this one. Bring him back, Tim! Monkeybone was pretty good in spots!

Verdict: Worth a matinee viewing at least.
