 Local Donkey Wounded During US Marine Raid of Iraqi SchoolOct 9 2004 by Andy Grainger
U.S. troops have found further proof of al-Qaeda activities in Iraq, bolstering President Bush's heroic decision to go to war. Homeland Security chief Tom Ridge gave some details to Fox News today:"After precision bombing insurgent sites in Baghdad, our boys found more indications of an imminent attack by terrorists. In one building, there were the remains of desks lined up in front of a blackboard, obviously a terrorist training facility. "Inside every desk they found a book with detailed maps of every part of the United States and many other countries. There were economic charts and photos of public buildings and dams. Weak-kneed Democrats have been asking for evidence, doubting their President...well, here's the smoking gun!" At this point Director Ridge broke into a patriotic song that John Ashcroft had written for him only that morning, and furiously waved a large American flag until the commercial break. In other news, an Iraqi hospital reported that a public school was hit by an air strike, wounding two Iraqi policemen and a donkey. The students were luckily absent that day, on a field trip to throw stones at passing American convoys. Mystified locals then watched as U.S. Marines arrived and took all the atlases from the ruined classrooms. They also arrested the 3rd grade geography teacher, a Mrs. Ali Aliali.
