Clinton-Clinton Ticket for Democrats in '08?

Vote now!

Would YOU vote for a Clinton-Blythe ticket?
Omigod, if I don't wet myself first!
What, and get screwed both ways?
Do I smell Cheez Doodles?
Sources inside the Clinton political camp are telling Clinton financial backers to prepare for a Clinton duo on the 2008 Democratic presidential ticket.

Under the scenario being laid out, former president Bill Clinton would return to Arkansas, re-assume his birth name, William Jefferson Blythe IV, and run for the Senate from Arkansas in 2006, then run as vice presidential candidate on a ticket with his wife, New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, on a Clinton-Blythe ticket in 2008.

The former president is reported to be confident that the thinly veiled ruse will work, offering as evidence the vice presidencies of Spiro Agnew and Dan Quayle. "Nobody pays attention to the vice-presidential candidate," Mr. Clinton is reported as saying. "I'll re-style my hair, use some Grecian formula, and be just like the next guy out of the cabbage patch."

Sources close to Hillary Clinton say that the Senator has expressed a good deal of uneasiness about the prospect, citing as her reason the untimely deaths of other Clinton insiders such as Commerce Secretary Ron Brown and White House Counsel Vincent Foster, deaths considered by many to be suspicious. "She doesn't mind the prospect of her husband being a heartbeat away from re-taking the presidency," one aide told this reporter. "She just doesn't want it to be her heart."

An aide to the former president dismissed those concerns, noting that the vice president presides over the Senate, and that Mr. Clinton is merely looking forward to "screwing with the Republicans in the Senate and the interns in the West Wing."
